Day 11

I call today's picture art, a moment caught in time.

From A Photo a Day

What is it? you may ask. Well, what if I told you the title was "Reflections". Can you see the ripples of the water? Can you imagine the thoughts that ripple through your mind in purple in green? I have a secret for you: this picture is not entitled "Reflections".

Could it be entitled "Identity". Is there enough to say that the lines represent the compartments society tries to put us, the individual, in. The purple represents the true blend between the lines, how all humanity flows together. But yet again, this photo is not entitled "Identity".

In fact, this photo doesn't have a name. It is simply a paused version of the Windows Media Player light patterns that occur when music is playing on your computer. In reality, this image comes from the realm of the mundane, but when viewed through the lens of art, art can give meaning to anything.
